    Maurten Drink Mix 320

    Fuel like the pros with Maurten Hydrogel Drink Mix 320. One bottle of Drink Mix 320 contains 80 grams of carbohydrates. Using hydrogel technology to encapsulate high concentrations of carbohydrates to fuel during activity, enabling athletes to get enough energy that our stomachs can tolerate without risking the race.

    No added flavour, colourants or preservatives and only using 5 ingredients to provide athletes with only the carbohydrates and electrolytes they need.

    Amount of energy
    Studies have shown that our bodies can make use of up to 90 grams of carbohydrates per hour. One Drink Mix 320 sachet, mixed with 500 ml of water – contains 80 grams of carbohydrates.

    How it works
    Drink Mix 320 is built on hydrogel technology*. When you mix it with water, you'll get a liquid sports drink containing a high concentration of maltodextrin and fructose. The sports drink instantly converts to hydrogel in the acidity of the stomach. The hydrogel enables a smooth transportation of the drink through the stomach to the intestine where the water, salt and carbohydrates are absorbed. *Patent pending

    How to use

    Mix the content of each sachet with 500 ml of water and shake well until dissolved. Be careful, you need to get the ratio right for the hydrogel technology to work. The mix is designed to be mixed with water with <40mg/L calcium content. Higher levels can affect how it's dissolved. Consume the sports drink minutes before, during and or directly after activity.

    Sweeter than expected

    I found this much sweeter than similar offerings from Tailwind etc. However, I experienced no stomach issues and found the performance to be good. I'd probably opt for this over tailwind in the future but stick to the hydrogels for road races.

    Great ultra fuel

    I used these last year on a 100 mile race. I got to 75 miles with nothing else for fuel, and ended up winning the ladies race.

    Maurten Energy 320 Mix

    I’m using the Maurten 320 mix for bike training (and racing) for an Ironman - it is excellent - lots of carbs and no gastric issues which is ideal!
